Meet our new artists

Bank Contemporary is thrilled to introduce four exceptional artists who have recently joined our gallery.

Andrew Millar is captivated by the ever-changing dynamics of the natural world. His art reflects the interplay between stillness and rhythm, mirroring the patterns he observes in nature. Millar's approach to art is akin to weaving a tapestry, seamlessly blending various elements of nature to inspire a deeper connection between the viewer and the natural world. His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions across Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, and New York.

Pakpoom Silaphan
is a Thai artist who repurposes found objects, such as old metal advertising signs and wooden soda crates, to comment on globalisation, consumerism, and cultural icons. His works feature images of renowned figures like Warhol, Dali, and Frida Kahlo, layered over vintage advertising signs to create contemporary Pop Art pieces. Silaphan, born in Bangkok, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Silapakorn University and advanced degrees in printmaking and Fine Art from Camberwell College of Art and Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. His experiences in both cities heavily influence his thought-provoking art.

Rooki
, an Urban Decollage artist from Manchester, UK, draws inspiration from the Decollage artists Mimmo Rotella and Jacques Villeglé. Using street posters, spray paint, ink, stickers, digital art, stencils, magazines, acrylic resin, and gold leaf, Rooki creates biographical urban portraits of iconic figures. Immersing himself in the history of his subjects, he sources relevant media to construct a narrative within the portrait. His process involves layering graffiti, paint, pen work, and poster fragments, continuously building and deconstructing the image. The final piece features a black-and-white digitally and analogically manipulated image, adorned with his signature "Dripping Crown" around the subject's eye, signifying their iconic status.
